The Cult are a British rock band, formed in 1983. Cult gained a dedicated following in Britain in the mid 1980s as a post-punk band with singles such as "She Sells Sanctuary", before breaking mainstream in the United States in the late 1980s as a hard rock band with singles such as "Love Removal Machine". Since Cult's earliest form in Bradford during 1981, the Cult has had various line-ups, and the longest serving members are vocalist Ian Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, the band's two songwriters.The Cult announced their tour for UK fans "New Blood and Deeper Cuts", a set list that will consist of the Cult's incredible new material such as 'Every Man and Woman Is A Star', 'Embers' and debuting previously unrecorded material, as well as tracks that have never/rarely been played.
The Cult's "New Blood and Deeper Cuts" Tour will start from January 18, 2011 at O2 Academy Leeds. The Cult will close their tour on January 30, 2011 at Manchester Academy.
